This Month: The Bible is Special!
During the month of September, we will be learning about how special and essential the Bible is for us!
Why Have a Preschool Service?
Preschool children (ages 3-5) are at a stage where they have outgrown the nursery, but are still not yet able to sit through an entire worship service. Having a worship experience dedicated solely to them is an effective way to begin teaching them what worship is and what the Bible says.
What is Worship KidStyle?
Worship KidStyle is a worship experience from LifeWay designed specifically for children. The material is divided into Units (or Series) where a topic will be discussed throughout the month. During the worship time, children will sing worship songs, hear a story from the Bible, learn basic Bible skills (such as where the book of Luke is located), and more. Any activities, games, crafts, or skits that we do will always point to the Bible lesson for that day. Everything our children do during Worship KidStyle will have something to do with our Bible lesson; no meaningless activities here! But the best thing of all, the children love every bit of it because we have fun learning about Jesus!
For example: On our first Sunday, we learned about Jesus choosing the 12 disciples. By the end of the day, each child should be able to learn one or two concepts, such as: how many disciples there were (12) and what they did (followed and helped Jesus). Each game or activity we did after our story either had something to do with the number 12 or about helping others.
